The quarterback situation for the Minnesota Vikings was expected to be very fluid heading into this offseason, and the Kyler Murray signing proved that to be true. The quarterback play last season in Minnesota was some of the worst we have seen this decade, but somehow this team clawed its way to a 9-8 record in 2025.

With the addition of Murray and another year of development of J.J. McCarthy, could this be a decent room heading into 2026?

Garrett Poddell of CBS Sports doesn’t believe so, as he listed the Vikings as the 8th-worst quarterback room in the league, just ahead of the Indianapolis Colts (10th) and Carolina Panthers (9th). Many believe Murray can revitalize his career in Minnesota, but it is worth noting his recent injury history. Since 2022, he has missed 30 of a possible 68 games.

Health will play a factor into this, but based on the weapons he is now surrounded with, there’s a real chance this listing proves foolish.
