The Dallas Cowboys have long been recognized as “America’s Team.” Even older than that nickname is the team’s association with Thanksgiving Day, a tradition that began in 1966.

Dallas, along with the Detroit Lions, has played a game on all but two Thanksgiving Days since that year. With the NFL releasing its full schedule for the 2026 season on Thursday, the league gave a sneak peek into the Cowboys’ plans for the holiday this year.

On Monday, the Cowboys reacted to the news that they will take on the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles this year on Thanksgiving in Week 12.

“Divisional Duel on Turkey Day 🍽️,” the caption read.

The matchup, which will feature Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Nov. 26 at 4:30 p.m. ET. It will air on Fox.

The Cowboys have had a very good record in Thanksgiving games, going 34-22-1 overall. Prescott has seen success against the Eagles in his career, going 10-5. He has beaten them six straight times at home dating to the 2018 season.

Dallas’ and the rest of the NFL’s schedule for the 2026 season will be released on Thursday.
