Worth III took part in San Francisco’s rookie camp on a tryout basis before inking the deal, per NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco.
Worth III, who went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft, played two years at Jacksonville State from 2023-24 before transferring to Arkansas to play for the Razorbacks from 2024-25.
In 25 games with Arkansas, he finished with 118 total tackles (57 solo), two tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.
In order to make space on the roster for Worth III, the 49ers cut linebacker Milo Eifler.
Eifler was signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and spent time with a handful of teams prior to joining San Francisco in January of this year when he signed a reserve/future contract with the team.
