The Arizona Cardinals will not release their full regular-season schedule until Thursday evening, but we are continuing to piece together what their schedule will not look like. As the San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to be the designated home team in a game in Mexico City, many felt that perhaps they could face the Cardinals. The Cardinals and 49ers have played twice in Mexico City, once in 2005 and once in 2022.
There will not be a third meeting this year.
One rumor has the 49ers “hosting” the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11 on Sunday, Nov. 22.
That would mean former Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray could face the 49ers in Mexico. He missed the 2022 matchup because he tore his ACL before that game, so Colt McCoy started.
The Cardinals now know they will not face the 49ers either in Week 1 or in Week 11.

With this new information, here is what we know about the Cardinals’ schedule.
We know they won’t play the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Denver Broncos or Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.We know they will not face the San Francisco 49ers or Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.We know they won’t play the Detroit Lions in Week 2.We know they will not face the Cowboys in Week 3.We know they will not play the 49ers in Week 11.We know they won’t play the Cowboys or Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12.We know they won’t play the Saints in Week 7.
The full 2026 regular-season schedule will be released Thursday at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. Arizona time).
