Strong indication Seahawks won’t play in London this year

The NFL will be releasing the 2026 schedule for every team in primetime fashion on Thursday at 5 p.m. PST. The Seattle Seahawks have known their 2026 opponents since their 2025 campaign concluded with a Super Bowl victory, but the Week 1-18 order will be completely unveiled shortly.

On the Seahawks‘ away schedule this season is a date with the Washington Commanders. The Commanders are tasked with playing a home game in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as part of the NFL International Series. It’s been possible that the Seahawks would be selected as Washington’s opponent in London.

Strong indications are that the Commanders will be hosting the Indianapolis Colts in London in Week 4, however. If confirmed, the Seahawks won’t have to worry about navigating the travel-related challenges that come with preparing for an international game. London fans should be prepping for Commanders-Colts in Week 4, unless told otherwise.

The Seahawks would be relieved to avoid the London trip. Considering they are the defending Super Bowl champions, it felt plausible the NFL would send them overseas to increase interest in the international markets they are clearly obsessed with improving. Hopefully it’ll be Commanders-Colts in London in Week 4, meaning the Seahawks would play a regular away game in Washington this season.
