FARMERVILLE, La. (KNOE) –
Union’s Joe Spatafora is heading north to take over the Drew Central program in Monticello, Arkansas.
Spatafora built the Farmers into one of the most feared programs in the state. Under his watch, the Farmers played a physical brand of football that led to two state championships and three runner-up finishes.
Spatafora tells KNOE Sports Director Aaron Dietrich this was a position and an opportunity he could not turn down.
The stats show Coach Spat had an amazing run at Union Parish and Farmerville before that, going 179-74 with 2 state titles (2013 and 2023) and 3 state runner ups (2020-22).
Former Arcadia head coach Demitri Carr is now on the Farmers staff and is considered the front runner to land the job.
