While we know the New Orleans Saints’ opponents for 2026, the dates and times won’t be released until Thursday night. The NFL has already announced one marquee game for the Black and Gold, announcing the team would travel to Paris to play the first-ever NFL game in France against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The full schedule will be released at 7 p.m. Below is everything we know leading up to the big announcement. Paris game: The NFL unveiled Wednesday morning that the New Orleans Saints will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris. The Black and Gold will face the Steelers on Sunday, October 25th in the Stade de France. Kickoff is set for 8:30 a.m. The Saints have played three games internationally since 2008. All of those games (2008, 2017, 2022) have been played in London.20 years since emotional Domecoming: September 25 marks the 20 years since the Superdome reopened following Hurricane Katrina. Two decades ago, the Black and Gold marched back into the city and beat arch-rivals the Atlanta Falcons in a game that has become known as the “Domecoming.”Team captain Steve Gleason’s blocked punt became a seminal moment in the team’s history, and even immortalized in a statue outside the Dome called “Rebirth.”While we aren’t sure if the Saints and Falcons game this year will end up during the week of the milestone moment, sources tell WDSU that the Saints lobbied the NFL to get this matchup. If the game is played in New Orleans, it could be played at any point during the week, Sunday, Monday, or Thursday. During the 10 year anniversary, the NFL schedule makers had the Saints play against the Falcons to commemorate the moment. Former players would likely travel to New Orleans and be recognized during the game. Purple Gold Greats face the Black and Gold:The New Orleans Saints will travel to Cincinnati to face a Bengals team led by former LSU greats Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. The two helped LSU win the National Championship during the 2019 college football season. That Tiger’s team is considered the greatest in NCAA football history. Burrow won the Heisman Trophy in 2019, and Chase secured the Fred Biletnikoff Award. The Saints only face the Bengals every four years, and only play in Cincinnati every eight years. Bearing down on Dennis Allen: It is no secret Dennis Allen’s exit from New Orleans was unceremonious, fired after two and a half lackluster seasons with the Black and Gold. Allen is now the defensive coordinator for the NFC North Champion Chicago Bears, and has helped turned that franchise into a real contender in the NFL. Last year, the Saints also traveled to Chicago and were stifled by Allen’s defense. Will Saints legends see the field in 2026?Ahead of the anticipated schedule release, several fan-favorites and key players remain in a bit of a limbo when it comes to their futures with the franchise. Defensive end Cam Jordan and Swiss Army Knife Taysom Hill are both free agents and remain unsigned. While Jordan has talked about returning, Hill sounded like someone who was moving on during his final media availability last December. Veteran running back Alvin Kamara is under contract, but team general manager Mickey Loomis and head coach Kellen Moore have been vague when asked about his roster spot for the upcoming season.
