We now know what the Washington Commanders‘ 2026 NFL schedule looks like. While we knew who Washington would be playing in 2026, we now know the most important part: when.
The Commanders have a brutal start to the season, opening with road games against NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, before returning home to face the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
It doesn’t get any easier. The Commanders head to London in Week 4 to face the Indianapolis Colts. They have no bye in Week 5, and must return home to face another division rival, the New York Jets. In Week 6, Washington is back on the road, this time flying across the country to face the San Francisco 49ers.
The Commanders have Week 7 off.
That’s a tough stretch for any team, especially one that needs to win. Head coach Dan Quinn replaced both coordinators after last season’s 5-12 campaign.
