It’s safe to say plenty of work went into the Los Angeles Chargers’ schedule release.
The AFC West team revealed its 2026 schedule Thursday with a Halo-themed video that drew plenty of praise.
With so much interest in the video, the Chargers provided a behind-the-scenes look at the process Friday with another video:
“We had three Halo experts from Canada and Mexico build custom Halo maps in Forge for each scene,” the video explained. “We then went into After Effects to make custom UI pop-ups to layer in additional jokes. Next, we built unique uniform combinations for each of our opponents and had actual Halo announcer Jeff Steitzer narrate the scene.”
The process also included node scripting with Halo and the filming of live game play before putting it all together.
Los Angeles is known for its creative schedule release videos with previous editions featuring anime, The Sims and Minecraft.
This year’s edition did plenty of trolling of the team’s upcoming opponents:
The Chargers will start their 2026 campaign at home against the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 13.
