Sadiq was picked by the Jets with the No. 16 overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft last month.

The Oregon product is set to be a key part of an offense led by Geno Smith and alongside star playmakers like the wide receiver Wilson, Hall, fellow rookie and wideout Omar Cooper Jr., and tight end Mason Taylor.

The U.S. Sun caught up with Sadiq and asked the 21-year-old about how it will be getting to work with Wilson and Hall, who’s coming off a season that helped him recently sign a three-year, $45.75m contract extension.

“Yeah, it’s really exciting,” Sadiq said. “[They’re] the best of the best at the end of the day.

“And getting to learn from those guys and see how they prepare and go about their business will be cool.”

Wilson missed 10 games due to injuries in 2025 after a career best season the year before.

But the 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year will be ready to go for the upcoming campaign.

The rest of the offense, coached by offensive coordinator Frank Reich, can look to utilize the tight end duo of Sadiq and Taylor.

Sadiq is ready for whatever Reich and company want him to do to showcase his speed, athleticism, and playmaking attributes.

“Truly, whatever they need me to do, I’ll do,” Sadiq said of his potential role.

“Mason has a huge role in this offense. [I’ll work] off Mason.

“Whatever they want me to do, I’ll go do what that role is.

“I think it’s kind of hard to say [what my role could be], but [I’ll] just work off those established guys. I just want to be able to play with them.”

Sadiq also touched on his team’s draft class, which includes No. 2 pick Texas Tech pass rusher David Bailey, Cooper Jr., and second-round pick D’Angelo Ponds – all three from schools that made the College Football Playoff in 2025.

The 21-year-old made a major statement on his draft class, believing it “feels kind of like a super team.”

“It’s amazing. [Getting to play] against all of them, scouting them, and then being able to team up with them, feels pretty cool,” Sadiq told The U.S. Sun.

“It feels kind of like a super team.

“I mean, I know it’s the NFL, but it’s still pretty cool.

“I think [the rookie group] is special.”
