The Cleveland Browns had a strong offseason rebuilding their offensive line in free agency and the draft, while also adding two playmakers to a terrible wide receiver room, drafting wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston.
They changed out their coaching staff, hiring Todd Monken, hoping a new voice would also help improve an offense that had been awful over the past couple of seasons. Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski recently wrote an article for Bleacher Report giving the Browns offseason a B.
“Once again, the Cleveland Browns pieced together what looks like an outstanding offseason, while simultaneously not accomplishing what really needs to be done. The Browns’ primary goal was to rework their entire offensive line. They traded for right tackle Tytus Howard, signed left guard Zion Johnson and center Elgton Jenkins, re-signed right guard Teven Jenkins and drafted the class’ top offensive tackle, Spencer Fano.”
“The organization’s hire of Todd Monken deserves some criticism as an older candidate (60) whose only head coaching experience dates back to Southern Miss over a decade ago. Also, quarterback remains unsolved. Last season proved the team will be spinning its wheels until it is finally settled at the game’s most important position.”
