Hailee Steinfeld knows how to touch down on husband Josh Allen’s buttons.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback revealed the one quirk that irritates the Sinners star—as well as how he responds.
“If I got something in my beard or my mustache,” Josh told Eric Wood on the May 20 episode of the Centered on Buffalo podcast, “and she goes to reach for it, I always, like, bark and snap.”
The NFL star—who married Hailee in 2025 before announcing the birth of their baby girl in April—shared his hilarious reaction comes from his dad, who would growl whenever he or his siblings would touch his “whiskers” on his face growing up.
And while it annoys The Edge of Seventeen actress, Josh admitted he can’t help himself from giving his wife a playful nip. “Every time I do that, it gets her every single time,” he said. “I can’t not do it. It’s, like, there for the talking and I have to take it.”
But this wouldn’t be the first time the couple has shared insight into their relationship. After all, Hailee, 29, gave fans a look inside Josh’s first birthday since becoming a dad.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about Josh’s 30th birthday. Officially, it was yesterday, but we’re celebrating through the weekend!” she wrote in a May 22 post to her Substack Beau Society. “This is his first birthday as a dad (!!), which means we get to spend it with our little lady.”
And the NFL star couldn’t have pictured anything better. After all, he shared his excitement for fatherhood ahead of his daughter’s arrival.
“I’m very much looking forward to that with my wife of becoming a dad,” Josh told 13WHAM during a Jan. 29 Buffalo Bills press conference. “It’s something that I will take with great pride, and we’re going to have to figure out things on the go just like anything else.”
“This is the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life, is being a dad,” she continued. “I love being a football player, and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, but I’m looking forward to this one.”
Indeed, the couple—who announced the birth of their baby girl in April—has celebrated more than one major milestone this month, with Hailee marking her first Mother’s Day since becoming a mom on May 10.
“A day late,” she captioned a May 11 Instagram post, “but simply obsessed with this.”
The Oscar nominee shared the first photos of her and Josh’s baby girl, including a sweet snap of her holding a finger, along with her feet within a newborn onesie.

And as for whether the 30-year-old has any pet peeves when it comes to Hailee, Josh took the safe route.
“Absolutely nothing,” he joked to podcast Eric, who replied, “Well done.”

The pair announced the birth of their first baby together on April 2.
