The Chicago Bears struggled mightily with their pass rush last season. The unit finished 31st in the NFL last season in pass rush win rate and 29th in pressure percentage. Many expected the team to address it during the draft, but Chicago only added former Georgia Tech defensive tackle Jordan van den Berg to boost the D-line.

The Bears will instead rely on their veterans to fix the issues next season. General manager Ryan Poles expressed confidence in the secondary to prolong opposing quarterbacks in holding the football. The D-line must apply more QB pressures and produce sacks.

However, some elite pass rushers are available in the market via trade. The team could still make a move ahead of OTAs and mandatory minicamp to improve the unit.

Chicago Bears are linked to Josh Sweat

Chicago continues to be linked to Arizona Cardinals defensive end Josh Sweat. The one-time Pro Bowler is reportedly receiving interest from other teams, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Bears fans are now urging the team to call Arizona and make the move.

“Do it,” a fan said.

“Player for player give az Dexter n we get sweat,” another commented.

“GET HIM!!” a reaction read.

“Bring on the sweat brothers let’s make it happen,” a user wrote.

“RYAN POLES PLEASE!!!!! we could have the SWEAT x SWEAT COMBO!!!!!!” posted another.

“We could have the sweatiest defense,” a comment read.

The Philadelphia Eagles won a Super Bowl with Sweat in 2024. Throughout his career, he has showcased his strong base and tackling ability.

The 29-year-old could form a strong partnership with Montez Sweat and disrupt quarterbacks. Although they are not related, they are the same age and play similarly.

However, the biggest questions are whether the Cardinals are willing to deal him and what they want in return.
