As NFL teams begin OTAs and other offseason workouts, veteran linebacker Von Miller remains unsigned.

But the Super Bowl 50 MVP is hoping to get a chance to play for his former team. Miller told Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post that he’s been lobbying for a spot on the Denver Broncos’ roster.

“I lobby. I do lobby,” Miller said. “I lobby publicly, I lobby privately. I do lobby. I think there’s no question the type of environment I bring to a locker room and to a team. I don’t like to pat myself on the back, but at 37 years old I can still roll out of bed and rush the quarterback. I’m still a great guy in the locker room, I bring great energy and I’m going to make sure everybody is ready to go.”

Miller hasn’t been a Pro Bowler since 2019, but he put together a solid season with the Washington Commanders in 2025 as he racked up 26 tackles and nine sacks.

Miller said he isn’t expecting a starting job, but a role similar to that which he played in Washington.

“Last year I played 37 percent of the defensive snaps,” Miller said. “Thirty (percent) with the Denver Broncos and I feel like I can do the same exact thing I did with the Washington Commanders.”

The Broncos had one of the best defenses in the league last year, which might make it more difficult for Miller to find a place on the talented roster. If Denver does bring him back, he believes he can still make an impact.
