During a recent interview with R.org, Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III shared which players he modeled his playing style after growing up, and one of them is a franchise legend.
“I don’t really mold my game. Well, I don’t mold my game after any running back, honestly. But I do watch highlights of guys. I love watching Adrian Peterson, just like how aggressive he ran with the ball, how good AP was,” said Walker, “It’s just cool to watch his highlights. I’m at the Chiefs now, so I love watching Jamaal Charles, too. I was watching him when I was younger, but it’s cool to watch him again. And being at the Chiefs, it all makes sense.”

Last season with the Seattle Seahawks, Walker rushed for 1,027 yards and five touchdowns. He was also impactful in the passing game with 31 receptions for 282 yards. He earned Super Bowl LX MVP honors with 27 carries for a season-high 135 yards and 26 receiving yards.
Charles retired as one of the best running backs in the league during his era. He spent the majority of his career with the Chiefs for nine seasons. His 1,332 carries are the second most in franchise history, and his 7,260 rushing yards are still the most in Chiefs history.
