Former Giants quarterback Russell Wilson is trading in his helmet for a seat in front of the camera.
According to Front Office Sports reporter Ryan Glasspiegel, Wilson is finalizing a deal to join CBS’ “The NFL Today” pregame show. Wilson would join host James Brown, former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson and former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher.

The spot opened up after the Atlanta Falcons hired Matt Ryan as president of football operations.
Wilson started three games for the Giants in 2025, losing all three, before former head coach Brian Daboll benched him in favor of Jaxson Dart. He appeared in six games last season, completing 58% of his passes for 831 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Wilson was drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. In his 14 seasons in the NFL, Wilson was named to the Pro Bowl 10 times and won Super Bowl XLVIII in the 2013 season with the Seahawks. He also played for the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers before joining the Giants in 2025. Wilson was also named the Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2020.
