Keep seeing pundits compare Garrett’s 23 sacks to Verse’s 7.5. Note that Verse had the 5th best pressure numbers last year. Myles is a generational player but he was backed by a superior defensive backfield while the Rams were toast in the DB.
I expect Myles to be the same in LA. I think Verse will have better results in Cleveland.
Pundits are exaggerating Myles in Cleveland under the assumption that the Browns stink…despite a multiple year record of superior defense. We will certainly be a less dominant defense without Myles. It won’t be a bad defense.
An interesting note that everyone has forgotten: Stafford sat out all of camp last year with back problems. QBs who are 37 do not eliminate back issues…they deal with them. Should Stafford’s back become a problem will the Rams still be SB contender?
