MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The date and time for 2026’s IS4S Veterans Bowl is being released by ESPN.
“We’re excited to bring post season college football back to the Capital City for the thirteenth straight year,” said Clay Norrel, executive director of the IS4S Salute 2 Veterans Bowl. “Honoring our veterans and active duty military alongside our title sponsor, IS4S, has been and will be the highest honor for our staff.”
The IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl matches teams from the Mid-American Conference, Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA.
The 13th annual bowl game will be held on Dec. 15 at Cramton Bowl in historic downtown Montgomery. The IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl has had a penchant for close games and thrilling finishes.
Eleven of the previous 12 games have been one-score games, with an average margin of victory of 4.3 points.
In nine of the 12 games, the winning score came in the fourth quarter, including walk-off field goals by Appalachian State and Georgia Southern.
Last year, two former Gulf South Conference members, Jacksonville State and Troy, faced off in an in-state battle, with Jacksonville State defeating Troy 17-13.
“We love providing an affordable, family friendly event for our locals, the teams’ fans, and especially our veterans and active duty military,” Norrel added.
The game will kick off at 4:30 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN. Tickets will go on sale to the general public in October.
