Browns officially sign veteran defensive end

BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cleveland Browns signed defensive end Benton Whitley on Thursday afternoon.

Whitley is officially in his third season in the National Football League.

He was originally signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Holy Cross in 2022.

Whitley has appeared in six career games in the NFL, spending time with both the Vikings (2023) and Giants (2023-24).

Last season, he spent time on the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
