The treasure chest was christened at Wednesday’s practice with interceptions from safety Dane Belton and linebacker Micah McFadden.
Adebo, one of the big offseason signings, is coming off a broken femur, which spoiled a 2024 campaign in which he had three interceptions in seven starts for the Saints. Seven months later, he is back to participating in practice and “moving well,” according to coach Brian Daboll.
OTHER NOTABLE PLAYS
Shortly after Adebo’s interception, linebacker Bobby Okereke broke up a pass in the middle of the field at the goal line to the delight of Daboll. “Smell blood, go get another,” the head coach shouted to the defense.
The Giants have two players currently wearing No. 25, and both have shown their speed in getting to the edge on either side of the line of scrimmage. Running back Dante Miller (blue No. 25) once again lived up to his “Turbo” nickname on a pitch, and rookie cornerback Korie Black (white No. 25) sniffed out another play.
Former Cowboy Chauncey Golston, a 6-foot-5, 277-pound chess piece for the defensive front, had two would-be sacks.
Art Green flashed throughout the practice and broke up a handful of passes, as did fellow defensive backs Tre Hawkins III, Dru Phillips and Raheem Layne. Linebacker Chris Board also got in on the action on a pass deflection.
