The Atlanta Falcons have reportedly acquired offensive lineman Wanya Morris in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. The 25-year-old Morris gives the team a quality swing tackle who can provide depth behind Jake Matthews and Jawaan Taylor.
So, what did the Falcons give up for Morris. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Atlanta sent a 2027 sixth-round pick for Morris to Kansas City in exchange for Morris and a seventh-round pick in 2027.
“Sources: The Chiefs are trading OT Wanya Morris and a 7th-round pick in 2027 to the Falcons for a 6th-round pick in 2027,” reported Schultz. “Kansas City and Morris worked together to find him a new team.”

The Falcons had one of the most stable offensive lines in the NFL for the last five years, but the unit took a major hit when Kaleb McGary announced his surprise retirement during the 2026 offseason.
Morris, a former third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, played his college ball at Tennessee and Oklahoma. Over his three seasons in Kansas City, Morris appeared in 43 games (16 starts). He started 11 games for the Chiefs in 2024 but made just one start last season.
