WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – NFL standout Adrian Colbert gave back to the community Saturday by hosting his annual free youth football camp, bringing together dozens of young athletes for a day of learning, competition and fun.
Participants took part in football drills, competitions and skill-development activities designed to help improve their game while building confidence on and off the field.
The event offered more than just football instruction. Families and campers also enjoyed food, bounce houses and a variety of activities, creating a community-centered atmosphere with something for everyone.
Colbert said seeing the continued support from local families and community members is what makes the camp special each year.
“Just to be able to see how the community continues to show up and the parents continue to bring the kids out, provide a great experience for the kids and something that’s more not just for the game, but more community-focused and enriching. It means everything,” Colbert said.
The former NFL defensive back said the camp is about more than football, serving as an opportunity to bring the community together and provide positive experiences for young athletes.
Colbert also expressed gratitude to the community partners, sponsors and vendors whose support helped make this year’s camp a success.
