The kickoff times for three more of the WSU Cougars’ football games this fall have been announced.

Rule change clears HOF path for ex-WSU Cougars coach Mike Leach

Washington State’s Sept. 13 game at North Texas will kick off at 12:30 p.m. Pacific time on ESPNU.

The Apple Cup between the Cougars and the UW Huskies on Sept. 20 in Pullman will kick off at 4:30 p.m. on CBS. It had previously been announced that the start time for the annual rivalry game would be either at 4:30 or 5 p.m.

Washington State’s Oct. 18 game at Virginia will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on The CW Network.

With the start times for those three games announced, WSU now has kickoff times set for nine of its 12 regular-season games this fall. A full schedule can be seen below.

The Cougars have a hodgepodge slate this season that includes opponents from 10 different conferences.

After the Pac-12’s demise, Washington State and Oregon State had a scheduling agreement with the Mountain West for 2024. That allowed the Cougars to play eight of their 12 games against Mountain West opponents last fall.

However, the scheduling agreement with the Mountain West was not renewed for 2025. That forced Washington State to get particularly creative to fill out its 2025 schedule, including the highly unusual move of playing Oregon State twice in the same season.

Washington State is on track to return to a more normal schedule in 2026, when the new-look Pac-12 is slated to begin play.
