Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson will not face felony charges in connection with his arrested on suspicion of domestic battery earlier this month at his San Fernando Valley home, NBC4 Investigates has learned.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said the case was sent to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office for possible misdemeanor charges. The city attorney’s office said the case is under review.
The 6-foot-7, 338-pound offensive lineman was arrested at around 11 p.m. June 9 after police were called to his home. When police arrived, they learned that Jackson and a woman had gotten into a verbal argument.
Sources told NBC4 that Jackson thought the woman was recording him with her phone and allegedly tried to take the phone out of her hand.
Investigators said the woman had scratch marks on her arms.
Jackson was then arrested and later released on a $50,000 bail.
“We are aware of the incident regarding Alaric Jackson, and we take these matters very seriously,” the Rams told the Associated Press in a statement. “Due to this being an ongoing legal situation, we cannot comment further at this time.”
The 27-year-old six-year veteran played for the Iowa Hawkeyes in college. Jackson entered the league as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Rams in May 2021.
Jackson was suspended by the league for two games in 2024 for violation of the its personal conduct policy.
He signed a three-year contract extension with LA in February 2025.
