Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell, signed to a one-year contract this offseason, was one of only a few players who were at the first day of voluntary OTAs (organized team activities), the start of the third and final phase of the offseason program.

Entering his 19th NFL season, it isn’t that he really needs a lot of offseason prep to be ready. However, the offseason has been busy off the field for him.

He posted this on his Instagram account this week.

He had birthday, wedding and graduation celebration in his family.

May was busy. The Cardinals have two weeks of work in June with one more week of voluntary OTAs and a week of mandatory minicamp. Campbell will certainly be at minicamp.

And even the time he is taking in the offseason away from the game in the voluntary part, no one needs to doubt his preparation. Take care of the family stuff and then get geared up for football.
