Baltimore has seven more OTA sessions scheduled, and with a break in the on-field action, GM Eric DeCosta announced eight promotions and one new hire within the football operations department Friday, including several in scouting.

The Ravens are a gold-standard organization with a long track record of promoting from within their personnel department, dating back to DeCosta’s tenure as a personnel intern in 1996 under Ozzie Newsome.

The most significant move was Baltimore naming Bobby Vega as a senior personnel executive.

Vega was previously the Ravens’ National Scout. Now his position will be filled by Brandon Berning, who was previously a Midwest/Southwest Area Scout, and Chas Stallard, who was the team’s Southwest Area Scout. Parker was a pro scout and salary cap analyst who will now be a regional scout.
