Once again, the opposing offense ran the breaks off the Carolina defense. Led by running back J.K. Dobbins (131 yards), Los Angeles hit the ground for a total of 222 rushing yards.

Panthers quarterback Bryce Young struggled again, leading to a weak passing offense. Young completed 18 of his 26 throws for just 84 yards (3.2 yards per attempt) and an interception.

Carolina converted on only one of their 12 third-down tries and one of their three fourth-down looks.

Young’s interception came at the 3:30 mark of the second quarter, giving the Chargers a nice little chunk of time to extend their 13-0. But they didn’t need much of that little chunk.

On the third play of the possession, Dobbins rumbled for a 43-yard touchdown—helping give Los Angeles a 20-0 edge with just over two minutes remaining in the first half.
