HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – The Atlanta Falcons and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation are bringing more of the game of girls’ flag football to Alabama.
The organizations announced that they have provided grants to 10 Alabama high schools to establish the sport for this upcoming season.
The Falcons brought the world of girls’ flag football to Alabama in 2021.
Four years later, there are more than 130 Alabama high schools that will offer girls’ flag football as a varsity sport.

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the Falcons will host a free girls flag football clinic focused on skills, drills and fundamentals at Legio Field in Birmingham from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
