KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Chiefs filed several trademark applications Thursday. They show what the organization may be considering naming the new stadium that will be built in Kansas City, Kan.
The following applications were filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on June 25:
Arrowhead Sports and Entertainment ComplexArrowhead Sports ComplexTailgate TownKingdom Commons
If approved, the trademarks cover entertainment, dining, retail and other events. They would also include operating concession and souvenirs stands as well as commercial districts.
When it comes to entertainment, the applications ask for trademarks to include:
Sporting eventsConcertsFestivalsFan experiencesWatch partiesCommunity eventsLive and televised eventsFan clubs
Additional trademarks have also been filed to include a wide variety of football and music-related merchandise for each option.
Information provided by the Patent and Trademark Office shows it could take up to a year for a decision on the applications.
The Chiefs previously said they expected to break ground on the new stadium sometime either late this year or early 2027.
