DK METCALF ESTABLISHES SCHOLARSHIP
Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf and his family have established the Met The Moment Scholarship, which will support one graduating senior from high schools in Lafayette and Oxford, Miss. Metcalf played college football at Ole Miss in Oxford, and the new scholarship will provide $5,000 to one graduating senior from Lafayette High School and the same amount to a graduating senior from Oxford High School, per therebelwalk.com.
As part of a statement announcing the scholarship, Metcalf said that he hopes “this scholarship is another way we can make a positive impact on a community that has given our family so much through the years.”
The scholarship will be part of the Seven Pillars Foundation, a charity founded by the Metcalf family.
BROWNS HIRE RYAN GRIGSON
The Cleveland Browns lost a front office member earlier this offseason with Paul DePodesta of Moneyball fame leaving to take a job with the Colorado Rockies. Cleveland added a former NFL GM to their front office this past week though, tabbing former Colts GM Ryan Grigson as a Senior Football Advisor, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Grigson was most recently a member of the Minnesota Vikings front office. He has had two previous stints in Cleveland, working as a Senior Personnel Executive in 2017 and Senior Football Advisor, the same role he currently holds, from 2020-21.
Grigson served as the Colts’ GM from 2012-2016 and also worked in the Seattle Seahawks front office since being fired by Indianapolis.
C.J. GOODWIN RETIRES
Former Pittsburgh Steelers undrafted free agent C.J. Goodwin retired after 10 seasons in the NFL, he told Scott Metzger of WTOV via Pro Football Pro Talk. Goodwin signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2014 out of IUP.
He spent 2014 on Pittsburgh’s practice squad and signed a reserve/futures deal for 2015, but was waived during final roster cuts. He made his NFL debut with the Atlanta Falcons in 2016 and also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals before finding a home with the Dallas Cowboys. Goodwin played eight seasons with the Cowboys and was a core special-teams player, serving as a special-teams captain last season.
He’ll finish his NFL career with 136 games played, with 108 of those coming as a Cowboy. He amassed 94 tackles and two forced fumbles in his career.
