The Atlanta Falcons have several players who are set to enter free agency in 2027, but the team was able to work out an extension with tight end Kyle Pitts last week. Pitts is set to earn $54 million over the next three seasons, including $36 million in guaranteed money.
The former top-five pick will average $18 million per season, making him the third-highest paid tight end in the NFL. While the Falcons will have plenty of cap space next offseason, their 2027 free agent list will likely command a large chunk of that money.
Safety Jessie Bates III, guard Matthew Bergeron, center Ryan Neuzil and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa are just a few of the players who will need new contracts after the season.

Falcons offensive free agents in 2027
Now that Drake London and Kyle Pitts have been extended, the team can focus on the offensive line. Center Ryan Neuzil, right tackle Jawaan Taylor and guard Matthew Bergeron will all be free agents in 2027. If Tua Taovailoa secures the starting job and plays well, he won’t be cheap to re-sign.

In terms of the Falcons’ defensive free agents, it’s an even longer list of players. Safety Jessie Bates, linebacker Divine Deablo, and defensive lineman Zach Harrison will hit the open market in 2027. You’ll also see many of the team’s recent free agent additions on this list. Edge rushers Azeez Ojulari, Samson Ebukam and Cameron Thomas all signed one-year deals.

The Falcons may not be done adding to their roster before the 2026 season arrives. We wouldn’t be shocked to see the team add another wide receiver in free agency.
