“When I came in, just kind of new to the program, trying to learn the plays, learn the players, learn the coaches and everything,” Neyor said. “Now I feel like I’m more comfortable, but still got that same mindset, that work ethic.”
LaFleur has taken notice of Neyor’s growth as well.
“I’d say it’s night and day for him,” LaFleur said. “He’s really shown a lot, a lot of flashes of excellence. He’s another big long guy that can run. You can never have enough of those guys, especially at that position. So, I’m excited about what’s to come for training camp for him.”
Beyond his added comfort with the scheme, the stability of being with the same team throughout the offseason allowed Neyor to find a consistent routine and really dive into the details of playing the receiver position.
Working out at APEC in Fort Worth, Texas, with Ryan Cuento, Neyor focused on his releases, routes, maintaining his balance throughout each route, and timing.
“There are things that I wanted to work on going into the offseason,” Neyor said, “and I feel like I’ve improved on those. So now, I just want to keep improving on those and get to training camp, preseason and show everybody what I can do.”

The offseason work that Neyor has put in, along with the continuity of being in the LaFleur offense for a second season, has already translated to production on the practice field.
During one minicamp practice, Neyor beat second-round pick Brandon Cisse on a deep ball thrown by Tyrod Taylor. On a different day, Neyor made a contested catch along the sidelines. His size and speed make him a threat over the middle of the field as well.
“Just trying to stack days, just get right,” Neyor said after a minicamp practice. “Try to take every day to get one percent better. But just staying level-headed and just keep working.”
