Tom Brady showed up for the wedding of the year, but he did not see it through to the end. The seven-time Super Bowl champion was photographed leaving Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding reception early on Friday night, slipping out of Madison Square Garden well before the party wound down.

Brady kept a low profile, riding in the back of a car with his head lowered and dressed sharply in a black suit and tie.

He had plenty of company on the way out. Comedian Chris Rock and actor Hugh Grant, alongside his wife Anna Eberstein, were among the other big names who ducked out early. Brady’s quiet exit was hardly a snub, as a steady stream of high-profile guests filtered out long before the celebration ended in the early hours of Saturday.

The former quarterback was one of several sports figures on hand for the occasion. Kelce’s head coach with the Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid, was also spotted leaving, part of an NFL contingent that turned out to celebrate one of the league’s biggest stars.

For Brady, the appearance made sense. He and Kelce sit among the most accomplished players in football history, and the retired quarterback has remained a fixture around the sport since hanging up his cleats.

The wedding itself lived up to its billing. Swift and Kelce, both 36, tied the knot in front of a star-packed guest list, with Adam Sandler officiating the ceremony. The screens around Madison Square Garden flashed a “Just Married” message to mark the moment.

Even with Brady and others heading home early, the party rolled on into the night. A number of guests, including Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, stuck around and were not seen leaving until the early morning hours.

Brady’s early departure quickly became its own talking point, a small footnote to a night that had the entire celebrity world watching.
