Bears players rally behind Tyrique Stevenson after personal news

Chicago Bears defensive back Tyrique Stevenson did not have the best season in 2025. After establishing himself as a key part of the team’s secondary in his first two years with the team, the 25-year-old faced numerous issues in Year 3.

Stevenson struggled with consistency this past season. While there’s no denying that he occasionally exhibited the traits that made him a highly touted cornerback, the former Georgia and Miami standout was unable to play at a consistently high level throughout the season. This led the coaching staff to rotate him out of the lineup in favor of players such as Nahshon Wright.

Injuries also played a key role in Stevenson’s third season in Chicago. He dealt with shoulder, hip and calf injuries, forcing him to miss multiple games.

It has been an eventful offseason for Stevenson. He has been working hard behind the scenes to recapture his top form.

On a personal level, the Miami, Florida native recently marked a major personal milestone. This comes in the form of his engagement to his girlfriend, Kyna Robinson. The Bears DB took to Instagram to share the big news.

“Love doesn’t make the world go ’round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile,“ Stevenson captioned his post.

Stevenson likes to keep his personal life private. Not much information is available about his relationship with Robinson. However, the couple shares a son, Tyrique Jr., born in April last year.

Stevenson’s Bears teammates quickly sent congratulatory messages after hearing the news.

“Congrats fam,” Caleb Williams commented.

“Congratulations,” wrote Colston Loveland.

Kyle Monangai reacted, too, saying, “”Congrats brudda❤️”

“Congrats yall!” Kyle Gordon posted.

“Congrats my boy!” commented D’Marco Jackson.

“Congratulations 💙🧡” the Bears wrote.

Stevenson is entering a pivotal season in his career. He is heading into the final season of his four-year deal. Stevenson will be out to prove he belongs and deserves a contract extension.
