A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

ELLIOTT TRAINING

The Steelers’ defense fell well short of expectations last year. However, some of that was due to injuries.

Specifically, the team lost safety DeShon Elliott to a season-ending injury in Week 8. Elliott was one of the defense’s best players in 2024 as a consistent presence in the Steelers’ secondary.

But Elliott is looking to bounce back in 2026 from the injury. He recently posted images of himself working out in preparation for the season. While training camp is still a few weeks away, that isn’t stopping Elliott from working. It looks like he’s recovered nicely from his injury.

DRISCOLL YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP

The Steelers have spent the past few years rebuilding their offensive line. Many of those young starters are now coming into their own.

However, they also have some veterans in that room, including Jack Driscoll. He’s been in the league since 2020, spending time with a few different teams. He joined the Steelers halfway through last year, and they opted to bring him back this offseason.

Driscoll isn’t in play for a starting job with the Steelers, but he could win one of the backup jobs. He’s representing the team well off the field. FOX 61 posted a video on YouTube sharing that Driscoll recently hosted a youth football camp in his hometown.

There’s little going on in the NFL at this part of the offseason, so it’s nice that Driscoll is taking time to give back to others.

FORMER STEELERS ON FAMILY FEUD

There have been plenty of great players to suit up for the Steelers. They could have their own wing in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, as well as many other great players who aren’t in Canton, Ohio.

Fans will actually be able to catch two Steelers legends on an upcoming episode of Family Feud, as the show shared on Twitter. Hines Ward and Mel Blount are part of Team AFC Champions, along with Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs and Rodney Harrison.

The episode is set to air tonight. Hopefully, Ward and Blount will have good showings.
