Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck remains as one of the final unsigned 2026 NFL draft picks. Beck, who transferred to the Miami Hurricanes for his senior year, was selected in the third round of the draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
Beck is projected to have to take a significant pay cut in the NFL compared to what he made in his final year of college. Beck is notably unsigned along with several other quarterbacks taken in the draft including Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, Alabama’s Ty Simpson and Penn State’s Drew Allar. It is unclear what is holding up the contracts of so many quarterbacks.
NFL teams will look to sign all their draft picks prior to training camp. Beck did attend the Cardinals’ rookie minicamp and minicamp this offseason.
Beck has a shot to get a start as a rookie. He’s not expected to be Arizona’s Week 1 starting quarterback. The Cardinals are projected to start Jacoby Brissett, but if Arizona’s season does not go well, then Beck could start around midseason.
Arizona is expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL. The Cardinals play in the same division as a trio of Super Bowl contenders and are rebuilding. The Cardinals will look to sign Beck, Arizona’s last unsigned draft pick, before training camp starts on July 22.
