For a team led by head coach Dan Quinn that has made clear that distractions are to be at a minimum with maximum effort through offseason workouts, it’s fair to question whether Aiyuk would be a fit in the Commanders’ locker room now. For a team preparing for a pivotal year three for both Quinn and Daniels after a tale of two seasons, the Aiyuk saga has become apparent it’s a problem waiting to happen. Add in the questions about whether Aiyuk is even physically ready to return to an NFL practice, much less a game, it becomes a puzzle piece that might not fight in Washington anymore.
