The Kansas City Chiefs made moves to revamp their ailing running game during the 2026 NFL offseason, going so far as to sign reigning Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III in free agency.
A former Seattle Seahawks standout, Walker is sure to revitalize the Chiefs’ rushing attack on a weekly basis as star quarterback Patrick Mahomes makes his return from a nasty knee injury that prematurely ended his 2025 regular-season campaign.

Walker took 221 carries for a total of 1,027 yards and five rushing touchdowns last season. He also tallied 31 receptions for 282 yards but failed to score a receiving touchdown in 2025.
Kenneth Walker 2026 fantasy football projection
According to ESPN’s fantasy football experts, Walker is projected to record 276 carries for 1233 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Additionally, ESPN projects that he will haul in 48 passes for 376 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Running backs have struggled to produce in Kansas City’s pass-first offense in the past, but Walker’s outstanding athleticism and ability to make defenders miss will make him a top rusher in most fantasy leagues next season.
