With the release of Madden NFL 27 right around the corner, a list of the top 100 rated players is soon to follow.
Out of the NFC North teams, the Vikings are tied with the Chicago Bears for the fewest players in the top 100, with only two entrants on the list.
However, the Vikings are the second-highest-rated team in the NFC North, with a very respectable 85 overall.
But it’s difficult to predict Madden ratings. The way Madden NFL 27 and EA Sports lean goes through a lot of factors that most gamers and some fans might not be able to understand clearly. Just ask Brevan Bane and his view from a couple of years ago here.
So, who are the two Vikings that managed to make the top 100? And who are the other NFC North rivals that also managed to join the list? Let’s take a look.
Madden NFL 27 Top 100 Ratings Sees Two Vikings Players on the List

When it comes down to team ratings, the Detroit Lions were the highest amongst the NFC North squads at an 87 overall, followed by the Vikings at 85, the Bears at 84, and the Green Bay Packers at 83.
As for Madden NFL 27’s top 100 list, the Lions had the most players ranked in the top 100 at six, with the Packers having three for second place, and the Bears and Vikings tying for the fewest in third place at two. Both names for the Vikings, however, shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
Tied for 32nd place at 94 OVR: WR Justin Jefferson
Despite posting career lows in receiving yards (1,048) and receiving touchdowns (two) in 2025, Justin Jefferson still has to be considered among some of the best wide receivers in the National Football League. Sure, he may be starting to lose a little bit of his edge as he prepares to enter his age-27 season in 2026, but the flashiness and the way he can dazzle on big plays should still make him a higher rating in Madden NFL 27.
He’s bunched alongside 11 others in a tie for 32nd place at 94 OVR, which also makes him the fifth-highest rated wide receiver in the game, behind the Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase (99 club), Los Angeles Rams’ Puka Nacua (97), Detroit Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown (96), and the Seattle Seahawks’ Jaxon Smith-Njigba (95). Jefferson’s fellow position mates, Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings, were each rated at an 84 and 81 overall, respectively. Jefferson also an X-Factor Ability called Double Me, which boosts the success rate of aggressive style catches against single coverage in man-to-man assignments.
Tied for 79th place at 90 OVR: LT Christian Darrisaw
Another hallmark for consistency, especially when it comes to Madden NFL 27, and at a key position, is left tackle Christian Darrisaw. Over the last four seasons, Darrisaw has held his rating fairly steadily in the low-90s, which is very impressive for a player at his position. Now, as he prepares to head into Madden NFL 27, marking his sixth season in the NFL overall, a couple of ratings stand out. The one that jumps off the page the most, he has a 97 rating for impact blocking, meaning that he knows how and when to properly handle edge rushers trying to get after the quarterback.
At 90 overall, Darrisaw qualified in an 11-way tie for 79th place on the leaderboard, while also starting off as the ninth-highest rated left tackle, behind the San Francisco 49ers’ Trent Williams (97), Denver Broncos’ Garett Bolles (96), Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tristan Wirfs (95), Washington Commanders’ Laremy Tunsil (94), New York Giants’ Andrew Thomas (93), Los Angeles Chargers’ Rashawn Slater (92), Philadelphia Eagles’ Jordan Mailata (91), and Las Vegas Raiders’ Kolton Miller (91). Darrisaw is gifted with three superstar abilities in Madden NFL 27, all designed to help with his blocking assignments.

While the game is not fully released yet, there’s plenty of hype building up around the release of Madden NFL 27 on August 13. While the Vikings are more along the middle of the pack teams, they have plenty of intriguing talent to attract gamers for use during gameplay. It should be another fun season in the land of the Skol.
