Don’t ever test Jalen Brunson’s Eagles fandom.
When the Knicks star was asked sign a Giants helmet at Fanatics Fest on Thursday, Brunson had quite the response.
“Wait, wait, I am not signing that,” Brunson, a die-hard Eagles fan, said. “That’s against my religion. Are you gonna make me sign a Giants helmet?”
“Can I write ‘Go Birds’ on it? I’m gonna write ‘Go Birds’ on it.”
New York Sports content creator Madyson Eisen, who was working at the event, tried in a last-gasp effort to make Brunson a Giants fan.
“Can we convert you?” she asked Brunson.
“No,” Brunson replied.
Despite initially refusing, Brunson eventually signed the helmet with “Go Birds.”
Brunson, who’s been with the Knicks since 2022 and won NBA Finals MVP this season, was born in New Jersey but has ties to Philadelphia.

He attended Villanova from 2015-18, winning two National Championships with the Wildcats alongside current Knicks teammates Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart.
Before the Giants-Eagles divisional round clash in 2023, in which the Eagles won 38-7, Brunson showed up to a Knicks game wearing a Jalen Hurts jersey.
Ahead of an Eagles-Falcons “Monday Night Football” game in September 2024, Brunson joined former Philadelphia center Jason Kelce on ESPN’s pregame show and gave an incorrect prediction for the game, which the Eagles lost.
After joining the Knicks in free agency four years ago, Brunson has quickly become a fan favorite among with his scoring ability and clutch shots.

He’s averaged 24 or more points per game every year as a Knick and has helped guide them to four straight playoff appearances.
If he hadn’t already, he sure put the NBA on notice with a dazzling NBA Finals display — capped off by scoring 45 points in a series-clinching Game 5 to clinch MVP honors.
