NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Former Tennessee Titans players and people in the NFL participated in the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) ice bucket challenge to show love and support for Chris Johnson who was recently diagnosed.

The team posted a video on social media featuring former players including Keith Willis, Adrian Peterson, Charles Woodson and more all showing support to Johnson.

Johnson revealed his ALS diagnosis on Monday, June 29. The former running back, who started his career by playing six seasons for the Tennessee Titans, sat down with NFL Hall of Famer and ABC host Michael Strahan to reveal his ongoing battle with the disease.

Since then, Johnson has been receiving support from the Nashville community and leaders.

Rapper Young Buck, who is from Nashville, got a bucket of ice dumped on him on camera as part of the challenge last week. In his post, he challenged multiple Tennessee leaders, including Mayor Freddie O’Connell who in-turn challenged the president of the Nashville Predators, Bishop Joseph Walker of Mt. Zion and the entire Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball team to make their own videos next.
