NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Alvin Kamara is restructuring his contract with the New Orleans Saints, guaranteeing his return for a 10th season with the team, according to former Saints offensive lineman Terron Armstead.
Kamara is entering the final year of his contract. The restructure ensures the running back will be in New Orleans when Saints training camp opens in two weeks.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports that the restructured deal gives Kamara a base salary of $6 million for the season. He can make up to $8.5 million with incentives.
The Saints also added running back Travis Etienne to the roster this offseason. Etienne is a native of Jennings, Louisiana.
