CHARLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The Carolina Panthers have announced a new multi-year partnership with Charlotte television station WSOC-TV, making the ABC affiliate the team’s Official Broadcast Partner through the 2030 NFL season.
Under the agreement, WSOC will receive exclusive local broadcast rights to the Panthers’ three preseason games, while also serving as the home for original team programming designed to give fans expanded access to the franchise throughout the year.
The partnership includes broadcasts of Panthers Huddle, hosted by Kristen Balboni and Thomas Davis, along with five annual television specials and additional exclusive team content.
Panthers officials said the collaboration will help strengthen the team’s connection with fans across the Carolinas through WSOC’s extensive television and digital platforms.
“As a leading television station in the Charlotte market, WSOC’s extensive reach and trusted news platforms will help us connect with fans across the region,” said Eric Sudol, chief revenue officer for Tepper Sports & Entertainment. “Together, we look forward to bringing fans closer to the team through exclusive access and year-round coverage.”
WSOC leaders say the partnership goes beyond football, with a focus on community engagement across the Carolinas.
“WSOC’s partnership with the Carolina Panthers is about serving Panthers fans and their communities across the Carolinas,” said Cedric Thomas, vice president and general manager of Cox Media Group Charlotte. “Together, we have an incredible opportunity to elevate the fan experience with exclusive access on game day and throughout the year while strengthening local communities through initiatives that will create a lasting, positive impact throughout the Carolinas.”
The agreement will remain in effect through the 2030 NFL season, giving Panthers fans a new home for preseason football and expanded team coverage in the years ahead.
