Collins had 71 receptions for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns in 15 appearances last year. His 74.5 yards per game ranked eighth among qualified players.

The 27-year-old was No. 8 in the annual positional rankings from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, which the insider compiles based on input from around the league. One team executive said Collins possesses a “combination of size, strength and speed, route running, hands and ball skills.”

“Can make plays when contested and is physical after the catch,” they said.

Collins stands to make himself a lot of money if he can carry this consistency over to 2026. He’s under contract for two more seasons, and his $42.1 million salary cap hit in 2027 provides Houston with an incentive to extend him before he hits the open market.

Another 1,000-yard receiving campaign could net Collins a healthy payday.
