An image of Camping World Stadium glowing in a Jacksonville Jaguars-themed teal and gold, with matching fireworks, was one perspective shared Tuesday by DLR Group, the lead architect for the $400 million renovation and expansion project.

In announcing they had finalized the stadium design, the architects released a dozen renderings that refine the vision first unveiled a year ago.

DLR Group lead architect Ryan Freeland was inspired by moving water and palm fronds when he created metallic skin that encircles the stadium and creates a “lampshade” effect at night when illuminated by color-changing LED lights.

“Our design doesn’t just modernize infrastructure; it reimagines the entire experience from the moment you arrive at the stadium to the final moment you leave,” Freeland said. “Every decision, from the expanded premium offerings to the new North Endzone Tower, was made to amplify the energy of this place, extend its life, and make it more competitive on a national and international stage.”

The 650,000-square-foot renovation expands seating capacity to over 65,000 and introduces a sweeping range of new and upgraded fan amenities across every level of the venue. A new North Endzone Tower encloses the seating bowl, connects previously bifurcated suite and terrace levels, and adds escalators, premium seating, and a North Endzone Club. It fundamentally changes how fans circulate and experience the stadium.

The project also fully renovates and expands the Terrace Level concourse, increasing capacity and adding upgraded dining and amenity offerings. Retractable seating in the south lower bowl allows for a stage pocket to increase concert capacity and facilitates rapid conversion, while new and renovated suites, redesigned arrival sequences, and stadium-wide audiovisual upgrades raise the bar for every guest.

The programmable lighting is extended to the façade, with ribbon lighting, digital signs, and wayfinding tools intended to reflect the spirit of every event it hosts.

The city’s Appearance Review Board approved the design concept in October 2025, but the design team will be required to submit a final sign package once the city secures a new naming rights sponsor for the stadium. The contract with Camping World expired in 2024.

Camping World Stadium annually hosts marquee events such as the Citrus Bowl, Pop-Tarts Bowl, Florida Blue Florida Classic, and EDC Orlando. The modernized venue is designed to enhance those iconic events while attracting new fan experiences. The design delivers a maximized seating mix, strengthened operational flexibility, and more competitive hospitality, positioning the stadium to pursue a wider range of sports, entertainment, and international programming than ever before.
