Let’s take a closer look at each of the Colts’ UDFAs. Up next is UCF safety Ladarius Tennison.
In addition to their eight draft picks, the Indianapolis Colts have also signed 15 undrafted rookies after the 2025 NFL draft to add to their 91-man offseason roster.
Just as we did with each of the eight draft selections, let’s take a closer look at each of the Colts‘ UDFAs. Up next is UCF safety Ladarius Tennison.
Ladarius Tennison’s profile
Tennison played five seasons of college football with the first two coming at Auburn, two more at Ole Miss, and the most recent season at UCF. Over his last three seasons, he averaged 381 defensive snaps per year, including 313 in 2024.
Listed as a safety, but the bulk of Tennison’s snaps have come closer to the line of scrimmage, either as a box defender or lining up in the slot.
During this most recent season, Tennison was stingy in coverage, allowing only 12 receptions on 21 targets and holding opponents to 8.8 yards per catch. He recorded one interception and three pass breakups over his career, but has had a higher missed tackle rate, according to PFF’s metrics.
Also important to mention, Tennison is a very experienced special teams player, with 819 snaps over his career, often playing across five of the six different phases.
Hear from Ladarius Tennison
“Any role,” Tennison said last season when asked where he’s most comfortable. “Wherever I can be at .. So I would say any spot you put me at, I’ll be able to play it.”
Tennison would add: “Being able to get to the ball, hit, fly around, be able to change. Basically, if you want to put it down to one, my versatility is basically like, I could be in one position and they’ll think it’s something different, but if I go to another position, they’ll think it’s something different. So it’s always changing and making them think.”
