TRAINING CAMP PREVIEW: CORNERBACKS

In camp (9): Alontae Taylor, Cor’Dale Flott, Marcus Harris, Joshua Williams, Micah Robinson, Keydrain Calligan, Jeadyn Lukus, Latrell McCutchin Sr., Jalen McMurray.

Player to watch: Marcus Harris. The Titans signed Alontae Taylor and Cor’Dale Flott during free agency, and the team is confident in what they’ll bring to the team this fall. Another guy who has gained confidence in the staff is Harris, a sixth-round pick in the 2025 draft who began to establish himself as a rookie. A 5-foot-11, 188-pounder, Harris is a real contender to win the nickel spot in the team’s defense this fall after playing in 14 games, with five starts last year. Harris is smart, he can run, and he feels more confident and prepared in Year 2. His progress will be worth watching in camp.

What I’ve seen so far: Taylor showed his competitiveness and intensity in OTAs as he began to establish himself in Tennessee. Flott made his potential impact felt as well, even as he was limited in some of the offseason work because of injury. And the previously mentioned Harris further impressed coaches and teammates. I liked the feistiness of Micah Robinson, too, even if he did give up some plays. The same goes for Calligan, who, like Robinson, had an offseason interception in the open workouts. Cornerback Latrell Mutchinson had an offseason INT, too. I like the looks and size of Williams, who was signed in March after playing previously with the Chiefs.

What I think the Titans need to see in camp: This is an area where the Titans made some big additions this offseason, and the team would love to see these guys establish themselves in camp. Flott, Taylor and Harris will go to battle against the team’s receiving corps, and vs other receivers in the joint practices. The competition will be fun to watch. The long and athletic Williams figures to be fourth in line, and Robinson’s ability on special teams, and his competitiveness, puts him in position to claim a roster spot with a good camp. Still, the team wants Calligan and others at the position to make decisions on the final spots on the 53-man roster tough.
