Ex-Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill shares recovery update after severe knee injury
Tyreek Hill said he was told he may not walk again after suffering a significant knee injury.
But on Wednesday, July 22, he posted a video on the social media platform Instagram of himself working out, including jumping out of a pool, sprinting and stretching exercises.

Hill suffered a left knee injury during a Monday Night Football game against the New York Jets on Sept. 29 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

NFL Media reported the injury included damage to ligaments and dislocated the knee.
Hill, 32, said in the video posted to Instagram on Wednesday, July 22, that it had been about 10 months and had two surgeries since the injury.

“I have no power in my left leg at all,” Hill said in the video. “So, I’m trying to regain all the power back in my left leg.”
Hill, who is not signed with a team, appeared optimistic in the video as he noted the recovery was one day at a time and added he felt the timeline for him to return is looking good.

After the 2025 regular season, the Miami Dolphins released Hill on Monday, Feb. 16, citing that the wide receiver failed a physical exam.
During an interview with ABC affiliate WSVN-TV in Miami in June, Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said on Sports Xtra that there is not a set timetable for Hill to be ready to go, but what is more important is that Hill is 100% rehabilitated.
