Travis Hunter reached 22.6 miles per hour while running at full speed during a Jacksonville Jaguars’ training camp session.
That’s impressive if we remember that the No. 2 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft missed the last 10 regular-season games last season with a knee injury that also kept him from practicing in part of the 2026 offseason program.
His great speed could mean that Hunter will play extensively in a starting role defensively and emerge as one of the NFL’s best young cornerbacks while playing a significant role as a receiver – particularly in third-down and three-receiver situations.
