The Baltimore Ravens have placed six players on the physically unable to perform list to begin training camp, the team announced on Saturday, all of them on defense and including three of the top players of the Baltimore defensive line.
All-Pro Nnamdi Madubuike, who is attempting to recover from a neck injury that cost him almost his entire 2025 season, is one of the six, along with fellow defensive tackles Travis Jones and John Jenkins.
Madubuike, who hasn’t played since Week 2 of the 2025 and had neck surgery in April, is expected to be cleared to practice as soon as next week, according to a report by Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
Ravens placed DL Nnamdi Madubuike on acting PUP list, but the good news is he’s been cleared by independent spine and cervical doctors to return to field, per sources. He’s on PUP to get reacclimated and for team to evaluate conditioning. He could practice as early as next wk.

Jones is recovering from a pectoral injury. The former third-round pick has become one of Baltimore’s most-reliable linemen, starting 31 games over the last two seasons, and is coming off a career-best five sacks in 2025.
Baltimore did not disclose the injury to the 36-year-old Jenkins, who replaced Madubuike in the starting lineup last season.
With those three out, Baltimore’s top defensive line entering training camp is veteran Calais Campbell, who returned to the Ravens as a free agent this offseason, Broderick Washington and former sixth-round pick Aeneas Peebles.

Outside linebacker Adisa Isaac, a former third round pick out of Penn State, is also on the PUP list after missing all of the 2025 season after elbow surgery. Isaac has played just four games in his two seasons in Baltimore, and with the additions of free agent edge rusher Trey Hendrickson and second-round pick Zion Young at outside linebacker, Isaac will need to get healthy and make an impact to secure his place on the 53-man roster.
Second-year starting inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan and second-year reserve cornerback Bilhal Kone are the other two players placed on the PUP list, again with undisclosed injuries.
Players on the PUP list still count against the 90-man roster and can be activated at any time. If they are still on the PUP list by the time the roster is cut to 53 players on Aug. 30, they must miss at least the first four weeks of the season.
The Pittsburgh Steelers won’t face the Ravens on their 2026 schedule for the first time until Week 15, with a home game on Dec. 20 and then a return trip to Baltimore to close the season in Week 18 on Jan. 9/10.
